Goodness! Seems like ages since I wrote. Obviously, back from Paris which was amazing- ready for another trip now. Those of you who have heard the recent news about the building going up for sale may share in our uncertainty, I’ve been part of Bodenhams for 41 years (and counting). But our passion for the forthcoming season is still 100%.
Let’s talk about the main subject that’s on everyone’s mind … the weather! What weather! One moment we get a hint of sunshine, and then we’re back to temperatures hovering around 14 degrees. Thank goodness for cowboy boots and Mama B. Our stock for this season is nothing short of amazing, of course, I’m biased as Monika, and I put a lot of thought into it. Hopefully, summer will come around, and we can start wearing our linens- Leave the coats at home!
Cowboy boots are having a moment, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. They’re versatile, comfortable, and perfect for this erratic weather. Pair them with a dress or skirt for a chic, boho look, or wear them with jeans for a more laid-back vibe. The durability and style of these boots make them a must-have in any wardrobe (certainly in mine!).
While we dream of ditching our coats, it’s still a bit chilly out there. If anyone has seen me out on my walks, you’ll have seen me in my ‘Soya Concept Alexa Iron Grey Raincoat’. This raincoat has become my trusty sidekick, effortlessly blending style with functionality. It’s perfect for those spontaneous drizzles and unpredictable winds. Layering is key to staying comfortable in this unpredictable weather, so underneath my raincoat, I love to pair a lightweight jumper. You’ve heard it before, but I'll say it again, Amazing Woman! They are just such a fab essential, trust me, with the right layers, you can conquer any weather with style.
Dreaming of sunshine: There’s nothing quite like the feel of lightweight, breathable linen on a warm day. We have an extensive selection of linen pieces that are perfect for the sunny days ahead, A favourite of mine. I remember wearing it in Rhodes on my travels last summer, strolling through the charming streets, feeling incredibly comfortable in my linen paired with my Emu sandals. I can't wait to break out more of our linen collection as soon as the weather warms up.
